Our progenitor Mr. M. A. P. ArthanariChettiar, who served as the company's founding member, founded Thayammal Textiles in Salem, Tamil Nadu, in 1980. The area's major power loom and auto loom clothing company was founded by him, a single person. Then, we construct yarn-dyed fabric and griege fabric projects, as well as fabric dyeing facilities, looms, and other related initiatives.
Mr. A. VeerajanChettiar worked in the fabric industry as well as other firm management. He was the president of the "Lions Club Community-Salem area." Working on domestic and international orders for a producer of yarn-dyed fabrics is Mr. A. Selvaraj Chettiar.
Our new firm, Uma Yarns and Fibres as Proprietorship Company, which also comprises Uma Textile India and deals in fibres, yarns, and textiles, was established by Mr. A. Selvaraj in 2019. We are focusing on domestic and worldwide trade regarding all matters relating to textiles.
Our products are made in the Tamil Nadu region in contract weaving and spinning mills. We were established with the goal of giving our clients flawless, top-notch textile products.
Mr. Gautham Selvaraj, a third-generation descendant of our family tree, has spent the last six years working in the textile sector. His degree in Textile Technology was earned from Kumaraguru Technology of Engineering. He was confident that he upholds the same standards of excellence and dedication as his forebears.

Under the management of Uma Yarns and Fibres Private Limited, the brand “SIXCAPS” was founded in 2023 with a focus on producing Unisex Kids Wear and Women Wears.
